About ADA Carbon Solutions, LLC

In 2006, after nearly two decades of research, development, and demonstration of the use of activated carbon (AC) for control of mercury from coal-fired power plants, ADA Environmental Solutions (ADA-ES), made the decision to create a company to produce AC to insure that there would be a reliable supply for its customers. Working with experts to define the AC demand that would be created by expected new regulations on mercury emissions, ADA-ES determined that a significant increase in US production would be required for the power industry. ADA began the process of designing, finding sites, and permitting up to six state-of-the-art AC production plants. In 2008, Energy Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on energy structure in North America, joined ADA Environmental Solutions, contributing the financial strength and project development expertise necessary to accomplish this aggressive plan. ADA Carbon Solutions, LLC was started in October 2008, as the result of the vision and the entrepreneurial spirit of these two forward thinking and creative companies.
 

The team at ADA Environmental Solutions has been working together since 1985 to develop and commercialize reliable and cost effective emission control technologies for the coal fired power industry. The company is a full-solutions provider of testing services, equipment, chemicals, and innovative enhancements for the control of mercury and other hazardous pollutants.
